「There was something in his low languid voice that was absolutely fascinating. His cool, white, flowerlike hands, even, had a curious charm. They moved, as he spoke, like music, and seemed to have a language of their own.」

Style of dress - Formal and semi-formal. Conservative, well-made, expensive but without large labels or brand names. Shirts, slacks, turtlenecks, jackets, suits, ties, watches, oxfords, monk straps. Likes to wear layers and overall is ‘modest’ without showing much skin at all.
At a distance - ****A somewhat intimidating figure. Tall and trim of waist, with long legs and broad shoulders. Ash blond hair styled in an undercut, pushed back out of his face.
In movement - Moves in a very controlled and almost leisurely manner. Carries himself assuredly, straight-backed but not stiff. A confident tilt to the chin.
In voice - Smooth, persuasive and deep. Sarcastic, precise, cultured, condescending. Trends toward polite but can switch to vulgar at the drop of a hat. Swears, but sparingly. ( voiceclaim example )
Looking closer - A conspicuous face full of strong and clashing features. Ivory skin with a dry but clear complexion. A stoic, angular face with deep-set ice blue eyes, cold and piercing. Intense eyebrows and a large, straight roman nose are the most prominent features. Below, thinner lips with a cupid's bow - all too often formed in a crooked smirk. Two dark freckles adorn one cheek in a vertical line. Whether smiling or snarling, he produces dimples in both cheeks.
「I watch myself sometimes and I think, is there nothing you won’t fake? But that’s unforgiving. A smile, a purse, an axe… These are all things you can pick up and carry.」
This is a man full of contradictions. To begin — not even a man at all. Rather, some infernal creature that gets a fickle satisfaction out of playing at one. Raum is a self-interested beast, observing the world with an arrogant face. Aloof and rather composed, it can be difficult to tell what he is truly thinking, his carefully crafted and projected persona hiding a tumultuous emotional landscape below.
At a glance he comes across as someone self-assured, distant — intelligent but unempathetic. A calm person with a refined taste and obviously high standards for everyone, including himself. He speaks his mind, whichever thoughts he deigns to share, with confidence, uncaring if it grates on people. Purposely disagreeable and uncompromising with his opinions, he is happily willing to debate someone in circles until the sun goes down. A smug, cardboard cut-out of a man, laughing behind this impenetrable curtain of perfectionism.
Yet if one peeks a little closer, it’s easy to see how Raum thrives when he can draw other people’s eyes. Almost fatally narcissistic, he likes to be bold, and he likes to play. When facing the mundane parts of life, there is a sense of emptiness and boredom. It grates on him to be kept in the cage of normality. And so he is always seeking out new experiences, situations, and people, to alleviate that restlessness. As a demon, he takes pleasure when creating chaos, exposed to danger, subsumed in all things transgressive and forbidden.
Just like any other being, Raum has multitudes of things to hide. He has fears, traumas, and emotional baggage. There are little things that will make him smile or laugh. Things that drive him crazy with hatred or passion, and things that bore him to death. If someone spends enough time with him, they will start to be revealed. And perhaps there will be unexpected things to discover.
Fundamentally, Raum is always hiding something — unfortunately part of the bargain in getting to know him.
