Raum is a being most would classify as a demon - a supernatural entity that originates not from Earth but another plane of existence that many human cultures and religions have named as their Hell, or the underworld. Although not entirely malevolent in nature, demons do not have a moral structure like humans, and as such are often considered to be ‘evil spirits’ or otherwise bringers of misfortune and chaos. Despite being marked by various religions as opposing forces of good and evil, the truth of these beings is fundamentally more complex and difficult for the human psyche and culture to understand.

As a demonic entity, Raum’s form is malleable, especially within Hell itself. His form will often change there, sprouting multiple extra limbs, eyes, mouths, skin, hair etc. or whatever is necessary at the time to express himself or to navigate the treacherous and ever-changing landscape.
There are multiple forms that Raum will often assume for convenience, familiarity or simply feeling like himself, his identity. Due to the limitations of being on Earth, there are only a few set forms Raum is able to express there without discovery.
The head is a broad and ominously sharp beak with razor-like barbs. It disappears into a great dark mane of thick hair that crests down the creature’s back.
Seeming to glow from the inside — light spills out of the eye sockets and the maw, and where the skin is thinnest around the torso.

monstrous — freedom, destruction, hunting, traversing
The space and energy in Hell is vast and many of the inhabitants, landmarks and structures are simply gargantuan in ways that the average human might struggle to comprehend.
Raum’s first form, and one that he takes fairly often, is similar to a gigantic crow-like monster. It is roughly 15 meters tall, or about the size of a mid-rise building.
Inky black skin wraps the gigantic hollow bones of this form, covered in a layer of short, velvet-like hair. The limbs end in bird-like talons, the arms sprouting a thick layer of long, dark feathers.
Form two.
demonic — control, comfort, versatility, combat
The most routinely used form, and therefore the most malleable, it is somewhat smaller ( about five meters ) and more likely to transform based on circumstances.
Large and slender, the body is more ‘person-like’ than animal, walking upright on two feet. And yet, there certainly is nothing recognisably human about it.
Again the shape is bony, covered with the same dark, velvet-like skin and feathers — a crow’s head, and both retractable wings or tail ; whichever is desired.
This form often changes shape depending on need, stretching and distorting, growing whatever limbs or body parts deemed necessary for a task.
Here the arms end in hands rather than talons, with long spindly fingers, hard to the touch like solid bone or keratin. Horns optional — four twisted ivory points from top of the skull.
It’s most common to see Raum in this form sporting six arms.
